  3. This is a fantastic posting.

Alumni meet was memorable and it took all of us back to our very own Devagiri days.

Deepak, your qstn takes back to my Hostel days in Devagiri days- those black circles were called 'Tagore Vanam' in our days and I had a masters in that. We had handed over the mantle of Tagore Vanam to junior batches. Hostel days were the most memorable ones in college days. The most painful experience was the sad demise of Sreejith in a bike accident in 1997 - he was a final year Physics student. The entire hostel wept for days. He was an admirable leader and a great friend too.

I still remember Sreejith memorial football tournament, I was the captain of 'real mad'rids' which one the cup by defeating Bocca seniors in penalty shoot out. I have two memorable penalty shoots including the one in finals - I sent them straight out of the post! but I scored two fantastic goals including the one in the finals.

There are plenty of experiences right from being baptised to hostel till moving out of hostel at the end of second year graduation after completing four eventful years in Tagore.

  4. Thanks a lot Binoy for sharing your memories from Tagore Hostel here.

I joined Tagore after 1997 and only heard about the tragic incidence of Sreejith.
