orchids are beautyful .i have seen them in maniyangod estate.and also in chundale .ur blog is informetive. we trovelled 2008 june on that bad road mys to manathavady. by ignorence.we came back sultan bateri-gundlupet.i ,m very fond of wayanad.
Mysore to Mananthavady road is a lot improved now. But still legal issues, Some people do not like the public traveling straight.
The last 3 to 4 months, traveling to Wayanad has become really hell.
Vehicles are blocked from 9pm to 6am in Gundalpetta - Sulthan Bathery road, and from 6pm to 6am in Mysore-Mananthavady road and the other road through Nagarhole, which leaves the only option to travel through Gonikuppa, which pretty much bad in shape, like a village road (with not enough width for two vehicles to travel in opposite directions.)
